i do occasional street team stuff for Cleveland.com, working concerts, games, and what have you. tonight was a fun one, working the Wu-Tang concert at the house of blues. our table was next to the wu-tang merch table and i got to spend some quality time with those guys before they opened the doors. very entertaining to say the least. and then i got to meet Bob Golic. interesting evening.
watched a few movies over the past few days. Stepbrothers. i laughed my ass off from the beginning to the end. the ending was unbelievable, the Prestige Worldwide performance at the end where Will Ferrell sang Con Te Partiro was the greatest climax in ridiculous comedy movie history. i was honestly in tears, one because that song is beautiful and i always have that reaction to it, apparently even when Will Ferrell sings it. and two because it was so fucking funny. "Lumberjack!!!"
the other movie was The Shining. hard to believe that i have never seen this before. i really liked it a lot, such a huge movie. i didn't think it was really all that scary, but certainly disturbing. i have lots of questions after watching it. if anyone reading this is a big fan of the film, let me know. i have some questions for you.
i'm not sure if it's the x-mas blues or just me being a rotten jerk ass, but i've been a little more pissed off at the world lately. so i've decided to update my shit list. here's what's been bugging me lately.
all three of my fantasy football teams lost last weekend.
unemployment.
Paul Pierce and Rajon Rondo.
big fat phonies on this site. there's currently 2 SG's and 3 members that i can think of that really bug the shit out of me. as usual, not naming names but you 5 suck. suck suck suck!!!
that this guy missed:
my friends continuing to move away from me. my buddy mike is moving to san diego after christmas. very lame.
over aggressive salvation army bell ringers.
T.O. being interviewed by Stephen A. ego meter through the roof, just shoot me now.
financial collapse all around me, but CC Sabathia gets 161 million.
enough doom and gloom. here's an awesome picture i found. two of my favorites things:
here's that song, Con Te Partiro by Andrea Bocelli. i never knew that this guy was blind. anyway, call me a pussy if you would like, but this song is absolutely beautiful . one of those few examples of just how amazing of an instrument the human voice is. i love powerful stuff like this.
if you listened to that and enjoyed it and felt it rattle your insides around, then i like you. you are good people and will not end up on my shit list.
have a good evening.
