for all my fellow RockBand addicts, and Guitar Hero to some extent i suppose, i would like to play for you one of my favorite songs that i would love to have on RockBand. i've got a list of potential songs that i would love for them to put on the game, Ram Jam here being near the top of the list. and for those of you not interested in the game, here's something to listen to while reading. enjoy.

so my unemployment, aka summer vacation, is moving right along. megan and i were talking today how this is like summer break again for me. stay up way too late every night and sleep in way too late each morning. i only shave before job interviews, maybe once every 5 days or so. it's been really nice. i finished college in 2000 and took a full time job immediately. a year and a half into that job i changed jobs and had 1 day off in the middle of the 2 jobs. since college i don't think i ever took more than 6 days off in a row for vacation and personal days and that stuff. and all my life i've called in sick once. so saying all that i feel no shame enjoying all this extremely lazy time i'm having.
the nephew is doing awesome.
i've got a few other pictures, but that one is my favorite. the lighting kind of sucks, but oh well. so that's willy. and my sister. i'm so pumped to go see that kid. i'm heading down to see them on tuesday and i can't wait. my sister sent me that picture and i swear when i saw his little hand grabbing her finger i started to cry. i can only imagine what it will be like when i get to hang out with him. he made it home safely, and has been there for about 5 days now. i talk to my sister daily and she's great. i'm really excited about all this.
so i'll be gone from tuesday till friday. the summer vacation continues on. i'm kind of glad my parents won't be in town while i'm there. it will be good to hang with just steph and willy. i'll be back in huntington where we went to college. i haven't spent any considerable time there in about 5 years, so i'm kind of looking forward to dicking around there for a few days.
last week we went to the Iron Maiden concert. unbelievably fantastic. for a bunch of 50 year olds they sounded and played great. Bruce Dickinson sounds like he did 25 years ago and made chills go down my spine with some of the notes he hit. all kinds of great Eddie images and stage props. at one point a giant sphinx head open up and an enormous Eddie mummy came out and hovered above the band shooting sparks out of its eyes. fantastic.
i just dropped out of a few groups that i was in here on the site. there are a lot of petty, arrogant dicks on this site. i was in the "members since 2005 group." there are some really cool people in that group, and some really funny ones as well. but on the flip side there are also some real douchebags. huge slimy dripping douchebags. nothing was ever done or said to me personally, i just got really tired of the snarky assholes. there's some in there that go waaaaay out of their way to find something about other members to tear into. there's one chick in there in particular that just loses at life. she'll tell you she's queen of everything, but she just really sucks. the main reason i left the group. just tired of looking at her. the other groups i dropped out of i just didn't do anything with. no sense taking up the space.
i've really been enjoying this site again lately. met some cool people over the last few weeks and added some new faces to my friends list. all very cool people. especially tatian.
