it's like a thousand degrees in my house right now. summer is here, no fooling. i'm having a nice day off from work today. i've been getting high and listening to the black crowes real loud. i've been trying to put together this list for the past few days. the 10 most important/vital musicians that are currently rocking us. in no particular order, here's what i've come up with so far.
1. Jack White
2. Les Claypool
3. Tim Armstrong
4. Jim James
5. Maynard James Keenan
6. Ahmir "?uestlove" Thompson
7. John Frusciante
8. Damon Albarn
9.
10.
at the moment, 9 and 10 are currently blank. i've got a long list of maybes that i'm searching through. maybe Wayne Coyne, maybe Beck, maybe Mike Patton. I'm not a fan, but maybe John Mayer, seems like that guy can do no wrong. and he's a fantastic guitarist.
if anyone is reading this anymore, i'd love to hear some input. who do you guys think should be on that list. let me know either way, do you agree with my thoughts, or am i so far off i need to be set straight.
while on the topic of music, i've picked up a few really good albums in the past few days. the new White Stripes album is pretty nutty. it's really good, really different like usual. it's growing on me pretty quickly, and i'm sure in a week or two i'll be crazy about it. also picked up the Tim Armstrong solo album. this one i was nuts about right from the start. it's a lot of fun, and will probably be my summer listening of choice. also why he's up on that list. i loved every single Rancid albums, even the super heavy one. i thought both Transplants albums were great, and as mentioned above, the solo disc is awesome. he seems like a pretty fucking cool guy as well.
i think i'm about to walk down to the record shop and pick up the new Beastie Boys. i'm pretty sure that came out yesterday and i hear it's amazing.
so i think i've got another favorite SG. i know this is old hack at this point, and anyone that has ever kept up with my journal knows that i do a lot of jumping around from favorite to favorite. but i think i've got it all figured out now. and here's the breakdown.
i've always been a huge reagan fan, everyone knows this. she'll be my favorite all time SG till the end of time. no questions asked.
now out of the handful that i've gotten to know a little, i'd have to say that saraphine is easily the most personable and funnest SG ever. many a internet laugh has been had because of her. and she has great taste in music. and the powers that be are retards for not accepting that last set she sent in.
which oddly enough leads me to the next category, most amazing SG. i guess by amazing i mean impressive. sawa seems to be able to always blow my mind with every post she puts up. it seems like with every journal entry, she's done something i find to be incredible and unbelievably fun. i can't think of anything she's ever posted in her journal that i didn't leave me without at least a WOW coming out of my mouth.
and now to the new entry. and a pretty contested category at that. i'm talking simply about pure pants exploding sexy. a few days ago i would have said zoli, but no more. not to take anything away from the 4 previously mentioned beautiful, beautiful women, but for pure dirty unashamed sexy, i'm gong to have to go with lovely.
that set knocked me on the floor. just damn sexy. and the hell of it is that she's not really my type at all. cough, cough, edea, cough. i just think she might be the sexiest woman i've ever seen on this site. and that's that. i need to rearrange my fave SG list.
here's the big news of the moment. next week me and the lady are going to Atlantic City for a long weekend. i've got a lot of family there and my lesbian aunt is getting married on the 7th. so the service will be nice to attend, but honestly i'm looking very forward to the ocean and the gambling. i haven't been in the ocean in about 5 years and that makes me sick . i LOVE the ocean and need to be in it ASAP. it's going to be a really fun trip and i am super excited about it.
so that's my music and sexy lady update for today. i hope everyone is doing well.
be good.
Huntington is an interesting place to visit, but I think after 23 years, I need a change.
Btw... have fun in Atlantic City.
