the last 30 minutes of my life i will not be getting back. i just spent said 30 minutes tearing my place apart looking for my wallet. the entire time cursing myself for being an idiot pothead for losing it. i'm at my wits end when i receive a call from my idiot pothead friend neil. "you're wallet looks just like mine maaaann." he's on his way back over. fucking stoners. biggrin

i don't see why every journal entry from now on can't have one of these. get used to it.

the Pistons and the Cavs both lost in consecutive nights. bad mojo. i don't think either will lose again in their current series.

jesus tap-dancing christ! if you're a fan, stop what you are currently doing and go buy it. right now. this is probably the greatest concert dvd i've ever seen. and i'm gonna gush for a few seconds.

first of all, the demon days album was fucking amazing. from beginning to end: 100 percent amazing mind blowing who knows what. and to this day i think the whole cartoon band idea is brilliant.

this is not your typical concert. there is a DJ, but the vast majority of the music is played live. there's like 35 people on stage. full band, full string section, percussion section, backup singers, the whole fucking gang. at any given time there could be a full choir on stage, a number of guest MC's: De La Soul, Nenah Cherry, MF Doom, Bootie Brown, god damn Ike Turner in a ridiculously shiny sequins jacket, and all kinds of people i've never heard of but rock just the same. (Shaun Ryder, Roots Manuva, Martina Toply Bird and some amazing asian lady playing some amazing asian instrument.)

and a children's choir.

they play the album in it's entirety, and it's dead on. insane animation playing behind them the whole time. in fact the stage is hardly lit. mood lighting and silhouettes pretty much the entire time.

i've been walking around for the past 3 days with a boner for this dvd. i've watched it at least 5 times all the way through in the past 2 days.

so yeah, go and buy it. if you are a fan of the group, it's pretty much required of you to get it. and if you just have a love for music and art and want to have your mind blown apart, do yourself a favor. spend the fucking 12 bucks.



and i've been talking to people in person like that when discussing that dvd. problematic.

any other news. not really. my sister got fired. actually she was let go. it happens. she's tough.

couple posts ago i mentioned that against my better judgement i reinstalled IM up in here. sure enough, kept me up till 6 in the morning the other night. she knows who she is. wink

i got sleeping to get to.
