Current Music: Lamb of God - Ashes of the Wake
WARNING! the following post is a work related rant, i'll get over it, but i need to vent, reader discretion is advised.
so, work sucks! usually my job isn't that stressful, i work at walmart, overnights when the store is closed, i don't have to deal with customers, i just work at my own pace stocking the shelves...but, the store is being renovated, there are now at least 30 extra people in the store every night. these people are moving everything, and leave crap all over. it's chaos! and not the good kind!! whenever i need to move a skid, there are no available pump trucks, as the reno team has taken them all. the chemicals department is currently split into 3 areas in the store, none of them are anywhere near eachother, last night they had the receiving doors blocked off because they felt like moving the counter beside it to infront of the door, so nobody could get through. the store is a mess, i hate it! they move the shelves without taking the stock off, and so when they are being moved, everything falls on the floor, and quite a bit is broken. i wouldn't usually care if the stock is broken, but there is a bonus check that we get annually, a percentage of the store's profit is divided among the employees, the estimated value of the check has dropped from $1010 to $835 since these guys started working....i am so glad we get the check at the end of this week, who knows how much the store will lose because of this reno crew. in the receiving area in the back of the store, where we put all f our overstock before the store opens, the reno team has decided that they will fill this area up with all over their extra crap, and there is no place for us to put ours. the people that have been hired are rude and vulgar, usually i wouldn't give a shit what kind of language someone uses, but at work, when every other word is fuck, it's not exactly the nicest environment to be in. and last night, the store manager decided to come in for our shift. he's supposed to work nights for a week every month or so, but none of us has seen him since october, but anyways, he was working last night, and all night he was telling the overnight manager what to do, "this is wrong, this is wrong, change this, blah blah blah, i'm a huge dick, move this one inch to the left" of course being told you are doing everything wrong would get someone in a bad mood, so my manager is all pissy, and he's stressed and frusterated, i feel bad for the guy, but he takes it out on us. so when he's bitching at me all night to do something and comes back before i have a chance to do it and gets mad because i was busy finnishing what i was doing before getting to what he wanted done, i got a little frusterated. last break rolls around, i'm tired from working so hard all night, my eues grow heavy, and i almost fall asleep before having to get up and go back to work, after break is cleanup time, we pull all the overstock to the back room, and would put it in it's designated place if the reno crew had nor filled it up already, and we pick up all the empty skids and take them outside, and we put all out cardboard and garbage away, but the counter from crafts is blocking the back doors. we had to wait till the reno crew got around to moving it for us to commence our cleanup. lucky me, i found a pump truck not in use, so i grabbed it, and started walking away, when someone grabs it from me "sorry, i need this" i'm a nice guy, i let is slide, i find a new one, repeat, and again and i do not let anyone grab this one....for now. ...for the first half hour i am the only person pulling back skids, then the support manager needs my help with something, so i go help, and he sends 3 other people to pull back skids for me, one of whioh, stole me pump truck while i was not looking. i ended up staying 20 mins after my shift ended because there was sit that needed doing, and nobody else was doing it. i'm beginning to hate my job, in the mornings i'm usually pretty cheerful and say good morning to all the day staff as i walk past them on my way out/their way in, but today, there was no smile, and to answer their "how are you"'s, my response was "i fucking hate my job." and that's very unlike me, i never get upset, ever, for anyreason at all, but for some reason, i've been putting up with so much bullshit lately, it's starting to piss me off.
this is the end, i appologize to anyone that has read this, but i find it relaxing to vent this way.
