Justin Freelings B-day Party, Villas, NJ 12/16/05

We had a pretty dopey practice yesterday. We did learn a new song that's now stuck in my head, but most of the time was spent goofing off playing bits and pieces of covers. Still had a lot of fun. So anyway after it was over K had mentioned a party she heard about. Actually I did too...

Well yesterday I did wind up making a short shopping trip for a new address book and more Xmas cards. It took while just to put all the addresses and phone numbers in the new book. I had them everywhere. Some written down on business cards in my wallet, others on scraps of paper or post it notes stuck in an envelope, others in the...

I got the 1971 animated Chuck Jones produced version of "A Christmas Carol" yesterday. I had bought a bootleg copy off Ebay. I've seen originals selling for over $60! I've already watched it 3 times!! The animation is simply incredible. What a crime that this isn't availible on DVD. And yes, I could see why it scared the begeesus out of me all those years...

Phil Lesh & Friends, House of Blues, Atlantic City, NJ 12/8/05

Simply an incredible show! Here's all the highlights of my day.

I would be going to the show with one of my best friends and a former bandmate George. I got up there a little early because I wanted to hang out, listen to some music, and have dinner before the show. His family...

Another last second show. I only found out about it the day before. I had gotten an invite from on of the bands on My Space and saw we were on the bill. So I call up Andy about it and the dope forget to mention it to us. But in his defense, he did tell Dom he would call...

I really didn't know what to expect with this last second show, but it turned out to be a great night with the closest of our friends and a few random strangers. They were treated to our longest show ever broken down into 2 sets. We were the only band so we had no choice!

Yeah, we found out about...

Dude, your list of "songs that make you cry" was a knockout. By the end of your list I had goosebumps for about 20 minutes!

I haven't been posting much because the last 2 weeks have been pretty rough. My cat of 15 1/2 years died in my arms. It's hitting me hard 'coz not only was he my constant companion but the fact my sister and I basically raised him. He was attacked and almost killed by a male cat in the house when he was a kitten. I...

I am so sorry to hear about your kitty. It's so hard to lose a companion like that. I have instructed my two dogs to live forever - I can't imagine being without them.

My condolences.

Practice was going great the other day until Andy showed us a new song that had a riff in it that was exactly the same as another one of our songs. Besides that it wasn't catchy on first play so I called it filler. Next thing I know is he's taking off his guitar and saying practice is over. I said "did I hurt your...

And so begins my partial unemployment. Well it actually started yesterday. Re-opened my claim online which was fairly painless. I'm just looking at it as vacation time right now. The stress level has already gone down. Feel I can take my time with the everyday chores without feeling like I have to rush.

I hit the work football pool again. I used that to buy...
