Still in the process of trying to get this tour organized. Still waiting to hear back from alot of people. Guess I'll just send out a mass email to all my contacts tomorrow and ask what the latest news is.
My friend Margaret had me a little nervous worrying about the tour. What we should pack etc. Andy was already one step ahead of her. He pretty much has it all figured out. Once again my nerves act up 'coz it's all a new experience. Sometimes I wonder if I should just sleep in the arms of prince valium.
Of course we don't even have a friggin' van yet! Guess this will all be last minute. Or at least on August 2nd when Penny turns 18 and gets his money. We still may wind up borrowing money from our friend Matt. Thankfully he's cool about everything.
Andy has been on a real songwriting kick of late. So much more new material to try out. Always keeps it interesting. It's nice knowing not only do we have a full albums worth of material to record but we're already working on stuff fof the one after that. Depending on what the news is in Texas, we'll probaly head into the studio when we get back in September. The next album will be called "Generation TV" the one after that "Geek Pride".
Work has been godawful of late. They were taking out our walk-in freezer to replace it (we have a friggin' truck outside for now to use) and we lost our walk-in refrigerator as well. The twins came in Friday and it must of happened during the night. Everything had to be tossed. So we were putting stuff in every refrigerated space available. What a pain in the ass! Not to mention temps have been in the high 80's-low 90's for over a week now so the kitchen is blazing hot. Tensions are high to say the least. Hopefully when I go in today we'll at least have the frig back.
The band was interviewed by one of the hottest chicks on My Space yesterday for her upcoming 'zine. It was a real comedy of errors actually. We were using the IM on there thinking we could copy & paste it all. Little did we know we lost the whole beginning of it! So we switch over to AIM to finish up. It was quite hilarious. All 3 of us were here answering stuff. After the guys left we continued to chat some more. Full flirt mode was in effect. I had to go for band practice and when I get back on later she tells me she lost part of the interview! So now she'll just email the rest of the questions. We ended up chatting some more and I eventually got her phone number. I called and talked for awhile. I'll let you know I was well behaved...for the most part! Damn, does she have a cute voice. Who the hell knows what will happen but if I can have some fun why not? Such is the life of a musician.
I was just thinking of how C. will react to all this and up she pops on IM. Hope she's cool with it. As we discussed many times before we really can't do anything for now and actually maybe not for several years. So I'll make the most of any opportunity that may arise. Not trying to sound cold at all, but what else am I expected to do? Cripes, the trouble is this new one is married too. Sometimes I just wonder what the hell I'm doing....
