Fear & Loathing sessions - Day 6
We finally got a chance to go back up after missing last week 'coz of Philmore getting his medical procedure done (he's just fine, thanks for asking). We were bringing a very special guest along, our buddy Mark better known as "Pvt. Dick". After a very philosophical ride up where we were discussing shit amoungst our social circle (Geo, if you're reading this, we should bury the hatchet...and no, I don't mean in yer skull) we made our regular pitstop at the Wawa and got down to some bidness.
"Totally Worthless" was the 1st track worked on. Andy and Phil handed most of the harmonies on this one, I handed the high harmony line with my back turned to the mic 'coz of my big friggin' mouth. "Radio Off" had 5 part friggin' harmony with Pvt. Dick guesting on backing vocs as well. That one took a bit of work to get right, but once it was done, sounded great!
Andy & Phil handed the majority of "Runaround" with me turned around again to do the high notes. "I'm Not Okay" had all 5 of us out there again. That one mainly features a shout out "whoa-oh" chorus. Had to do a retake 'coz Pvt. Dick cracked me up after breaking into an impromtu shit kicking cowboy dance. Andy handled all of "Dance With You" with me only adding a couple high parts. Overall a very productive but funny session. Hope Pvt. Dick can join us again next week. We're just about at the 1/2 way point, 8 more tracks to go for backing vocs.
