My sister Jackie is in the hospital. She called me from her one job to come get her and take her to the hospital. By the time Andy got me there I could see an ambulance leaving and knew it was her. I'm still not sure what happened. It might have been a reaction to the medicine Trilepital (sp?) she's been taking, or (and I hope not), a mini stroke. This happened Friday afternoon. I was with her for 6 1/2 hours in the ER before they finally got her a room. Her symptoms were speech problems, dizziness, and vertigo. Which are exactly the same as the bad side effects from the Trilepital. They're still running test and an MRI is scheduled for Monday. So we'll know for sure.
On top of that, Andy was having some troubles too with dizziness and panic attacks. His Dr. ordered some blood work for him. His BP was a little high. Needless to say, he's back on a diet and I'm on one too to show support. So yeah, it's been a hectic last couple of days.
At least I was able to get out last night and go to Jen's b-day party. I drank some worries away for sure. Do yourself a favore though and stay away from vegan carob covered peanut butter cups. Bleeech!!
Oh, I had to post some journal entries for my Sissy. She wanted to let her online RPG buddies what was going on. I tease her a lot about it, but they are a good bunch. They are all concerned for her. I'm really thinking it is a side effect from that medicine. At least I'm hoping...
