I'm going up to Philmore's today to jam with him and a bass player friend of his. Should be running thru the entire Beatles songbook, LOL. This could be the start of a nice diversion from my regular band. Hopefully they'll be more classic rock and blues thrown into the mix for good measure. It will be nice re-visiting my roots.

Had a staff meeting...

Memories Lounge, Richland, NJ 2/23/07

After the last 2 "meh" shows, I thought we absolutely killed it last night. See what a little "bromance" does? Everything is wine and roses in Sheckie-world.

Andy and I were meeting the kids there again, bringing up the gear in the van. The laugh for the ride up was the new Kerbeck car commercial which has found the announcer...

The Pub, Rider University, Lawrenceville, NJ 2/21/07

One of our bestest fans, Gabby, first yet us know they had bands play every Wednesday up there. And since we're still lazy bums bored out of our minds, we said "why not?". So we played the free show, but dammit, I never did get my Italian soda.

The kids were meeting us from Philly, so Andy and...

Forgot to post this last night when I had the chance. Fuck last minute shows, never again! Well, at least that friggin' far away!

One Thirty One, College Point/Queens/NYC 2/16/06

Everything about this friggin' show was last minute and/or hectic. From finding out about it 9:00 the night before, to almost not even playing it 'coz of Andy spraining his thumb in a tragic falling...

File this in the mind blown department....Andrea just sent me a message thru my space. Totally unexpected and I'm curious as to what she wants. I can't lie, I still think of her a lot. I tell friends that was my once in a lifetime experience. I'll treasure the time we spent together always. I don't know if it's good or bad to re-open thjs...

The Royal Scoop, Front Royal, VA 2/10/07

This was supposed to be the first date of our "road trip to Mardi Gras" tour, which fell thru 'coz we're all so friggin' broke. But Andy forgot to cancel the date and we ended up getting the show set up. We figured what the hell, we had a great time there last November when we played, so...

Super Bowl Sunday, hoo boy! I really don't care for either of the teams so I'll be paying more attention to the commercials.

The diet is still going good. The scale says 368 compared to 373 last time I checked in. It's so tough sticking to a plan. I swear, it is an addction just as bad as any drug. I have to concentrate hard...

Benefit for Sophie Darr, The Fire Hall, Somers Point, NJ 1/26/07

Sophie is Shane from NRL's cousin's 3 year old daughter. Last November she was diagnosed with cancer. Shane wanted to put together a benefit show to help raise some money for the family in their time of need. Although I was a little disappointed in the turnout, we still raised $300 and for that...

Back to the studio

We're using a new studio this time called "The Motherless" over at the Burleigh storage sheds. You wouldn't even recognize it as a shed once you get inside with a hardwood floor entry, carpeting, and friggin' Japanese paper lamps hanging. Nice vibe and we felt comfortable immediately. We actually started Monday night by setting up my drums and getting the levels...

Well, first the good news. I've been sticking to the diet and the results are starting already. According to the scale I'm now 373 lbs down from 377 a few days ago. Yeah, I know it's probaly water loss, but a good start never the less. We finally got our first true Winter cold snap, so I stayed inside and did my own excercise routine...

It's been quite interesting these last few days. I've made one life choice and I'm pondering another. The first one was the easy one, I'm full guns sticking to a diet. I even went for walks and have really cut back. Sissy bought a scale that can actually weigh me (I'm around *gulp* 377lbs). This will actually help me in sticking to it. I get...

Just enjoying the time off from work but it is that double edged sword, now I'm broker than broke. Looks like the roadtrip is not to be, I was even trying to turn it into another mini-tour but after seeing Andy yesterday he still thinks we should save for the Summer. One good thing came out of it, I got in touch with my friend...
