i wish i could share my music taste with others in an very accessible way... music web sites are very hard to navigate... there is way too much and it's hard to get excited about a band or performer after reading an article...
most people don't have the time or resource to find new music... and there is so much out there... where do you start?
i want to make that bridge... i want to help people discover music... but how? i usually spend hours of my time looking at music blogs and music sites... i'm always looking for videos by unknown artist... i'm checking out what other people like... i listen to about 15 different music podcast... and i download and listen to anything i can get my hands on... and still... my music knowledge is little... i'm greedy... i want more!!
so... how should i do this? how do i share my music taste and learn about new music at the same time? lastfm bores me... i never find new bands because it seems that most people are listening to the same old stuff..
so... i can create my own resource but... how can i be different? i can start another music blog that only a section of the population will listen to... i could have a podcast which will have the same outcome (only a few people will devote their time to me) and i would have to worry about copyrights...
so... how do i do it? how do i bring people out of there safety zone with music? you know... people only want to listen what they feel safe with... people will say "i listen to everything but country and rap"... and actuality they only listen to classic rock and indie... but there is so much more to discover in every genre of music...
ummm... i need to think about this more...
anyone have ideas?
