Hello everyone
Got today off of work which is rare on a Sunday. Wanted to do a photoshoot or take a walk.. Now Im not feeling either, lol..
I decided instead to spend my day studying. I first finished a watercolor painting study I did the other day, working on my solid color fades. It is pretty important in my career to be very well diverse so I spend allot of time working on different aspects of my artwork that I dont feel as strong or confident in as others.. I practice on paper either in watercolor paint or colored pencil. Sometimes I do grey-scale with drawing pencils as well, but I much prefer charcoal or watercolor for that... haha sry rambling a bit.. But Ill include some photos of my latest studies at the end of this post. However this is not the end of my productive day.
I now intend to study a bit for my other blossoming career. Modeling...
I am going to spend the rest of my day looking up different models poses and facial expressions while doing the whole agonizing self grooming bit... lmfao! Maybe watch a couple documentary's as well.. But I will put in a before and after beauty pic in this as well
As an artist I find things like reading and studying the basics of what you to only strengthen you in your medium of choice. They also keep your mind ready to produce new ideas and inspires you to maybe step outside your box. So on Days like today I play catch up and squeeze every bit of productivity I can out of my time off..
That being said enough time writing, time to grind
Love you all, thanks for reading

My twin brother, Corey, is an artist, and he took the same tack you are in strengthening his ability with other mediums. Graphite, colored pencils, and conte crayon/charcoal are his strengths, but the last few years, he's adapted quite well to acrylics and oils.
Keep at it.
