So I'm up an awake although I've got work again in 6 hrs, curses being a night owl!! Well I'm extra stimulated after working an Angels tribute show, for all you non Aussies The Angels were one the greatest Aussie rock bands to grace the earth. Formed in 1973; they continued to tour this great land until their frontman Doc Neeson finally succumbed to throat cancer two years ago (I've never cried over a celebrity death, but I did this time) .I first saw them when I was 16 and went to see them play in 3 different states. When Doc died I felt that The Angels should have went with him and initially felt negative about replacing him, until I actually saw a gig with Dave Gleason singing (who incidentally is frontman for another great Aussie band The Screaming Jets) when I realised Dave wasn't trying to replace Doc but pay him respect and keep his spirit alive. So hats off to Dave Gleason and Doc, thankyou for the music, good times and awesome memories xx
PS: This has been weighing on my mind for such a long time, it was such a relief to share my thoughts with you SG
