I have very odd thought patterns some times. Like, I was listening to Soul Coughing the other day, and thinking about porn names. I figure that Ruby Vroom would be an excellent porn name, and that Irresistable Bliss could quite possibly work too, depending on what she looked like, what sort of movies she did, etc. And then I got to thinking that El Oso (The Bear, in Spanish) would probably be an excellent alternative to most dorky gay porn monikers. These are the thoughts that keep me out of the good schools.
I'm in the mood to rent some movies that I haven't seen and some movies that I haven't seen in a while. As much as I'm not usually one to believe hype, I do sort of want to see Garden State and Lost in Translation, since they seem like they sort of could be up my alley. But, then again, I'm kind of in the mood to rent Topsy Turvy or Moulin Rouge, two old favourites that I should really just own. I'm busy as hell tomorrow, between work and going to a dance class, but I'm thinking that I might rent something in the evening.
The dance class I'm taking tomorrow night is probably going to be modern, but I've lately been considering aerobic stripping (strippercize) as a possible fun alternative to taking the same dance classes every week. I haven't been able to find any studios that offer it, but it sounds like the type of thing that could be a different way to celebrate girls night. Do any Torontonians know of any studios that offer strippercize?
I've got to get back to the vegetables I'm roasting! Mmmm... Leeks.

Garden State wasn't that great, it has all the elements that would make it good, but it wasn't that great. Ever seen American Movie? hilarious documentary about a film maker, that's godd for a laugh.
The dance classes sound like fun, I think I want to take a hip-hop dancing class, if they have them. I would be way too embarassed to dance in front of other people, unless I had a drink or two...anyway, have a great weekend. pirate
p.s. you are my fifth friend, sweet...
You take about 4 or 5 leeks and cut them into small slices, using mostly the tasty bits and not too much of the green. Boil them in salted water just until they're soft then drain them in a colander and really be sure to press all the water out of them. You then mix the leeks with one or one and a half eggs and you can use either boiled and grated potatoes (maybe 2 small potatoes) or bread crumbs as a binder. Then you basically mix it up, mush it into balls, and fry away until crispy. It also helps to put them in the oven at around 375 for 10 or so minutes to dry and firm them up a bit. Voila. Delish. Sorry for the not-so-specifics. I have a hard time sticking to actual recipes.
P.S. Generally when you reply to a post in your journal, you do it in the other person's journal so that they know you replied! Took me a while to pick up on that so I thought I'd pass along the wisdom. Have a wonderful evening.
