Hi y’all! I’ve been around here for awhile (20 years in April if you can believe it?) so I thought I’d share some SG facts and tips by highlighting different groups on the site.
This week I went with a private group that could truly be helpful when it comes to shooting sets for the site - SuicideGirls Critique.
What is the SG Critique group? - https://www.suicidegirls.com/groups/suicidegirls-critique/
Cherry created this group in 2009 as a way to give constructive criticism to the models and pho
tographers on the site. Cherry shot some of the best sets on this site, in my opinion, and really understood what made a good set - a theme, a gorgeous girl, superb photography, etc. Lyxzen took it over when Cherry left and now it’s been passed on to me. It is not super active and I would like to change that.
Who should use the SG Critique group?
SuicideGirls, hopefuls, photographers, and members that have a good grasp on what makes a good set. How do you use this group? Apply to join, share a couple photos and a link to your MR set(s), and ask for help. Do you think that the lighting on the set could be better? Share that in the comments. Is that wig a little askew and distracting? Let the girl know (nicely). Maybe the photography is a little too 2006 and not 2024.
What should you NOT post in the SG Critique group?
This is a place for constructive criticism, but kindness still matters. I’m not saying that you need to lie to anyone but leaving comments like “girl, you’re hideous, give up” will NEVER, EVER be okay. Find something that is fixable and share that in a nice manner.
What are the important threads in the SG Critique group to be aware of?
Pretty much just read this one: https://www.suicidegirls.com/groups/suicidegirls-critique/thread/576125/ - How do you use the SG Critique group? This thread will give you the run down.
Reminder: This is a private group! When you apply, shoot me a DM, tell me why you want to join and let me know so I can approve you!
