On the eve of my 33rd birthday, a few things I've learned this year.
- You are what you love, not what loves you back.
- Let people go. If they don't come back, punch them in the face the next time you see them.
- Sometimes it's worth only getting 4 hours of sleep. Three days in a row. You can sleep eventually. Enjoy that 3 am breakfast, and all the jack and coke's
- Driving in LA at night with the windows down can be magical.
- Jenny Lewis will always know exactly what to say.
- Go to as many drag shows as possible. Hug as many drag queens as possible.
- It's worth it to embarrass yourself. Do it as often as possible.
- JTT plays a mean air guitar.
- True friends will always be there for you.
- SG Family is real.
- On the worst days, play "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" and lay on your bed and you will feel so much better.
- Keep watching the Office, even if you've watched it 10 times.
- When you feel like life is the worst, something will always happen to make it more terrible. Just laugh as much as you can, and let it happen.
