Being a photographer in Las Vegas is an extreme challenge at time. It's so hard to find locations that look different than everything else. We have the basic desert landscape. Parks can provide nice greenish yellow backdrops. Yea we have the strip which depending on how your shooting can provide for an amazing background but every photographer in Las Vegas(aside from me and Lord Spam, old vegas doesn't count.) I hate shooting on plan black/white/grey backdrops. I want to be able to take a subject and shot her dancing in the trees. I want to shoot that epic sunset beach shot with the water smashing against the rock.

Pacific Northwest is great for beach shots.

Its so interesting that you feel that way...I'm from Cali and I'm so over beach photo shoots. I still think they're beautiful but I moved to Vegas in June and fell IN LOVE with the desert. It's amazingly gorgeous. My ultimate goal is to have a hopeful set shot at Red Rock...not sure how to pull it off with the tourists and all, lol, but that's the plan. But anyway, what do I know...I'm not a photographer, lol.
