The only thing more difficult than writing a story I hope to one day share with the world is writing a story that will never exist. As I delve deeper in my novel, I continue to explore the narrative within the narrative--a fictional story within the world of the characters that I write. And for my characters to be believable, then the characters they read about must also be believable. It's exhausting, and I feel I need not one, but two outlines to chart the progress of both my characters and their characters.
