Well, I survived Cortaca like I hoped I would, and only one friend ended it with a measly open container ticket. The game was pretty good, since we won 27-3 or something like that. The bars were absolutely jam packed, or as my good friend would describe it, nuts to butts full of people. It was almost impossible to buy beer at the bar because finding a bartender or even getting remotely close was a joke. I have 1 beer bought at a bar the entire night, the rest came from a handy backpack we had full of a delicious assortment of cold alcoholic beverages. All in all the night wasn't bad, and the fights were all pretty safe, and by safe I mean a few black eyes and some cuts and shiners, nothing to go to the hospital over. Cortland survived once again.
On another note, I FOUND MY APARTMENT!! After months and months of searching I FINALLY found something I like. It's two bedroom, modern, huge bathroom.. and the part I look the most forward to, a GAS STOVE! Cooking on an electric stove just does not give you the same quality that the gas burners do. It cooks so much more evenly. I have to say, finding paint schemes and laying new carpet and dealing the kitchen cabinet knobs.. it's all a lot more work than I had anticipated. But, IT'S MINE! I'm literally starting from scratch though, so furniture, cleaning supplies, food, pots and pans... none of it exists. I really only have enough stuff to fill my bedroom. So I would have to say that a shopping trip is in my future endeavors. The only real thing I need when I move in is a 12 pack of Guinness, a coffee maker and a dram of whiskey to get me through the late nights of painting and electric work.
Anyways, if i'm not heard from for a few weeks, it's because Time Warner Cable sucks and couldn't get me a closer set up date.

and congratulations.
Good luck with the move & yes, electric ranges suck.
(Not quite as bad as moving does, but . . .
at least that is only a temporary pain in the ass.)
