Trip-hop in the morning
Not really much to report on. Picked up some beers of a style I took an interest in last week.
The style has a few different names since it's fairly new, usually called Black IPA or American Dark Ale. It's a weird style to me because of how dark colored it is and how much the malty/coffee/chocolate flavors are, but with a big hoppy finish. Strange but good.
I've taken to pulling out old cassette tapes of mixes from radio shows that are waaaay no longer on air of trance, dnb, and what not that I recorded back in my raver days. It's been pretty nostalgic. Finding some tunes I'd long since forgotten about and now having fun trying find on the net.
I'm pretty damn excited the The Walking Dead is back tonight, so you can bet your ass I'll be watching that. Speaking of zombies. That's hella funny to me for some reason. So this should be a pretty good week since the Sac Horror Film Fest is running and my black ass will hopefully be hitting up everyday of it. I'm really looking forward to it and I'm hoping there will be a lot of good (or so bad it's good) flicks shown.
Which leads me to my last thing, Devil's Dynamite. Saw this flick on tv late last night, and for the life of me, I have no idea what it's about. It's a HK flick from 1987, and in the first 13 minutes I saw sleazy beaded 80's white guys, hopping blue vampires, two kung fu fights, ninjas, a "future warrior" vampire hunter, and mobsters. It's crazy poorly dubbed and despite virtually all the characters are Chinese, they have Anglo names. Here is the whole insanity for you viewing pleasure
And that's about it. Time for some breakfast.
