I just have to add this:
Dangerous Poetry!!!!
So I've been surfing around MySpace like a mad fool, trying to friend request as many of you as possible (at least, in the first go, all those who said they'd like to read my book ) - I have a personal page there, but this one: PissoirArt is the page for the book, and what I'm vainly calling a small press. Perhaps micro-press is a better word, since we won't actually be doing any of the printing !
IN any case, if you see a friend request from PissoirArt, that's me, and not some psycho trying to get into your Myspace pants.
This has been a really interesting project so far - I'm constantly tempted to just tell everyone on my regular friend list about it, but I'm sorta trying to challenge myself to do the PR work for PissoirArt itself, and see what kind of interest the idea itself can attract. It's also made me realize just how little I really know about Myspace!
I've also just discovered the print service at DeviantArt, so if you're interested, you can purchase prints of mine (most of them for incredibly cheap prices) at THIS PLACE! I think you can see all the pieces available in my attachments album. And hey, I'll make like .1 cents on the dollar, so its not like I'm doing this for profit.
On another note entirely, I've decided to accept that swing-shift writing job, just to see how it all works out, and they've finally got clearance to start the screening process - thank god! It's been brought to my attention lately that a large percentage of employers will actually research a potential hire on the web, checking Myspace and Facebook and other 'social networks' for suitability. So here's hoping that my porn-writing, nude-posting online self doesn't turn around and bite me in the ass. Honestly I don't think it will, after all, the writing sample I submitted at the interview was my first review for Black Heart!
All in all, I am super fucking excited to get out of my old job and actually get paid for writing/editing. So excited I'm actually using a phrase like super-fucking-excited, if that tells you anything.
here's a poem:
i remember the light. the blinding pain of it searing. slicing the song the light
sang. of blood and flesh. re-sounding. 'til the song slowed thickening. song threaded blood
and heaved flesh. timeless, song slowing into rhythm becoming space becoming
time blood and flesh becoming.
distant echo of that song.
each touch remembers itself.
each dewdrop tear from spaceless eye.
heartpulse throb of that now.
silenced music a memory your fingers played rilling the terraced cage
my rib. bones. broken off.
an arc of light.
an empty room
resounding.
blinding bright like a carol of bells. sang and slowed and enmeshed.
itself in fleshdim echo
of that song,
fading, growing fallow.
that spaceless calm depthless
pantomime
blood and flesh to dream
the weightless fall
through sighted dark, razoring
pall of breath
a final silence, spent
adoring all
god's broken dolls.
and another, one of my personal favorites:
snowfall, written and written,
dovecolored, as yesterday,
snowfall, as if slept
you also now still
white coats of distance.
above, endlost,
the sleighscar forlorn.
underhidden
sculpt you up
what the eyes so hurt
hill upon hill
unsighted.
of each,
homedrawn, into its today
a stunned, slipped away, i:
wooden,
there:
an icewind, hereovergone,
its dove-, its snow-
colored cloth
Have a wonderful day my Lumplings. And remember, I still have poetry at
Daily Haiku
and
Shampoo THIS PLACE!
