RAIN AT LONG LAST!!! It's pissin' down, and I'm still home from work, sooooo nice!
There's this hill near my house I've been wanting to climb since I moved into the area, so, two years down the road, I went looking for it yesterday.
I never actually got to the hill cause it was further away than I thought (other side of the lake, didn't look that far, another day!). But, I found this completely other side to my neiborhood I've never seen before. It was wierd. It was like I'd just road into a Stephen King novel. It was like this half dug up wasteland, a small getto-ish area with this old farmhouse up the back. Then I rode around the corner and saw a "dept. of fair trading" building, in the middle of no where!
At the end of all this, there was a national park that looked like it was once open to the public. But now, the gate was closed, and there were signs on the gate stating that fox and rabbit poisin had been used in this area. It was so spooky I had to go in.
I was starting to think of vampires & serial killers as I rode through this abandoned nature park, but then I saw a couple of other bike riders, so my thrill was over. Still a good ride though, ended up taking me up the backside of the city, twice as fast as the normal way I go! Plus, I saw cows and a canturf farm, and I live in one of the nice areas of town. WTF!!!
So, I rode around, stared at the cows for a bit, then went home. Pretty good trek, I slept so well last night
