And I checked out more of your stuff on deviant art. Nice! I do get a totally visceral reaction to it. Like the metal etching somehow makes me think of biting metal. And in that one, and the one with the feathers, there's a very meaty quality. You know what I mean? The reds and meat-like textures. It's hard to tell for sure, though, because it's hard to photograph pieces like those two.
You're really good at depicting dark spaces. Unique style, there. Keep it up.
I'll tell you what I tell all young artists... and this comes from good inside sources in the art world (my folks collect contemporary art): Quantity, baby. Stay productive. The more stuff you turn out, the better. Success in doing what you do comes, in a large part, from being really prolific. Output output output. So keep it up and generate showings wherever and whenever you can.
