This blog will be more serious and personal than my usual, silly blogs so, fair warning.
I took a little hiatus from SG for a while. I sometimes just get in a funk and just kind of go off the grid. I'm actually still kind of in it but I'm trying to come out.
I dropped my phone in the toilet (graceful right?) right before I left for Hell City. No, I didn't have any rice, yes I took out the battery and let it dry for 24 hours before I tried to use it and no, it did not live. Fortunately,
Bitten had an old phone that she gave me.
Unfortunately, I can't get it to download apps (yes, I've taken it to the store. Yes, I've tried a million other things) so I no longer have access to my Instagram for now. I have an iPhone on my wishlist as some wishful thinking but more realistically, I have an upgrade in March so I'll most likely have Instagram back then.
I did manage to get a few pictures from Hell City...

The reason I miss Arizona so much. One of my very best friends and motivators,
Aerion. Check out her sets! They're all amazing and should be bought. Just sayin.
Sprinkles! Another reason I miss Phoenix so much...
Luscious and I. She makes the coolest jewelry! I don't know if she has a website or anything but you should ask her about it! I know she sells at Hell City conventions though. Of course I got a necklace
I'm wearing it in this picture but I should have taken some up close pictures...Oh well, next time

Teresa Sharpe!! My favorite artist of all time!
Speaking of people from Best Ink, London Reese and Jon Mesa were in the booth right next to the SGs. London didn't say anything to me until later in the weekend (after work hours of course) he was a bit intoxicated and rode by my on a bike yelling and pointing "Miley, Miley, Miley!"...It made me giggle lol. You had to have been there...I don't think anybody called me by anything other than 'Miley' the entire time I was in Phoenix. One guy actually came up to me in the hotel restaurant and asked if I was her lol. I don't really see the resemblance but I'm still flattered.
This little girl in the airport had a Hannah Montana backback. She kept looking at me and looking at her backpack. Maybe she thought she was seeing her mentor in person lol. It was adorable
On a more serious note, spending time with Aerion has, as always, inspired me to make something of myself. I hadn't been around her in so long that it had worn off. I had no drive anymore. Being around someone so successful and motivating really lights a fire under me. I want to have a career, not a job. And I want it to be something I love doing. I love plenty of things...singing, writing, baking, designing (clothes, bags, shoes, jewelry), interior design, home renovations and graphic design. Problem is, I'm terribly shy in person. I need to change that...Shy people never get anywhere. And how do I choose? How do I know which path will take me where I want to go? If I had the money to start, I would start an Etsy selling my designs but I'm a little stuck at the moment. Things will work out though I'm sure. I'm open to advice though.
