Childsplay is about a serial killer who before dying transferred his soul into a good guys doll to avoid capture in the first movie, it's now 2 years later and chucky has been resurrected and is desperate to find Andy the young boy he needs to swap souls with before it's too late and he's trapped forever inside the doll, it's actually a great movie for Halloween it's also has a dark sense of humour and is fun to watch but I really wanted to write more about the legacy of Childsplay because over the years it's been banned many times as it's been linked and blamed as a inspiration for many real life crimes which give this movie a creepy and darker edge, two cases actually happened very close to where I live in northwest England, one was the kidnapp, torture and brutal murder of Suzanne Capper, she was beaten, electrocuted, injected with amphetamines all while being forced to listen to this techno song on repeat at extreme volume

The song uses samples from childsplay a film the captives were obsessed by, poor Suzanne was later dumped out of a car covered in gasoline and set on fire, all of this was because someone thought she had stolen their coat, The second was the kidnapping of a young boy called James Bulger who was brutally kidnapped and tortured by 2 other young children who claimed they were inspired by Childsplay James was very young so I'm not going to mention the horrible things that he suffered through, maybe a little trivial but Chucky's real name is Charles le Ray which is very close to Gilles de Rais and I wonder if that's done on purpose as he was a famous knight who fought with Joan of arc and later confessed to being a serial killer of hundreds of children in extremely brutal ways, despite it being a playful movie real life events linked to it give it a dangerous edge
