A group of animal rights activists break into a research facility and after being shocked by what they see try to help a Chimpanzee to escape they ignore a scientist who tells them the chimps are infected by the highly contagious and experimental Rage virus, the chimp attacks one of the group and as soon as the virus makes contact with their blood they are instantly infected, the transformation is really cool as they go into a painful seizure and start spitting infectious blood everywhere and although they are classed as zombies these are more mobile and far more aggressive which is a nice twist, the virus spreads so fast that within days society has collapsed and the rest of the story follows Jim a bicycle courier who was in a coma during the outbreak and has no idea what's happening (the walking dead ripped off this part) and a group of survivors trying to find a safe place, I really liked this movie I liked it's intensity, it was the first time I'd seen the excellent Cillian Murphy and Naomie Harris is incredible too and I had a huge crush on her after watching this for the first time as I love strong kick ass girls, the infected are cool their rage and anger probably makes them more scary than zombies, and it kinda fits into today's world where man made virus's can bring the world to the point of collapse, the music is great and I remember using one track as an intro to a DJ set I made many years ago I think I made a video on my profile too using it in a spooky horror mask but that was a long time ago, as in all these apocalypse movies the people always end up being more of a danger then the epidemic, I think it was one of the first mainstream movies made on digital film and I'd recommend highly
Enjoy the trailer 👻👻👻 and feel free to share your memories and stories of these movies if you've watched them or have others you'd like to share

I'm very bad at memorizing movie soundtracks by the way. If I like the way it's done, it comes to me as a single stream: visual and audio 😌
