Brandon Cronenberg make a body horror movie with all the trademarks of his father David, Tasya is an assassin who takes control of people's bodies via an implant installed in their head and uses them to do the hits, she then forces them to commit suicide so she can return to her own body, she is starting to struggle with symptoms of detachment and finds it hard to identify with her own life and reality, although she's struggling she accepts another job to kill Ava and her father John by possessing her fiance Colin and she carries out the hit but can not force Colin to shoot himself and loses control, Colin stabs himself damaging the implant and now Tasya is trapped inside Colin's body, I really liked Possessor I loved it's visual styling and I can see the influence of David who was a master of body horror, it's clever how it shows getting lost in a virtual world and losing control of your own reality in a violent and intense way and we see elements of this every day now with social media, thanks to @melina for recommending this one for me
