I decided to set myself a challenge and watch a horror movie each night in October as a build up towards Halloween, some movies are well known and others not so well known
Night 29 - Evil dead 2 1987
I love this movie it's so full on, it's supposed to be a sequel but it's more like a remake of the first one as that had problems with the censors, like the first it stars the awesome Bruce Campbell as Ash and is written and directed by Sam Raimi, I really recommend watching this movie at least once with the commentary from these two as they are incredibly funny and very entertaining, there's lots of blood sometimes it's red sometimes black and sometimes even green the action comes at you at 100 miles per hour and it's full of ingenius effects and tricks like using the wrong lenses, filming upside down or in reverse motion or Ash cutting off his infected hand and replacing it with a chainsaw, there's definitely nothing else like it so much so that I'm struggling to find the words to describe it accurately, it's a strange movie and so inventive and original so it's great for parties or with friends, full of action, horror, comedy and also a great introduction to the amazing series Ash vs the evil dead which came much later
