I decided to set myself a challenge and watch a horror movie each night in October as a build up towards Halloween, some movies are well known and others not so well known
Night 7 - Friday the 13th part 1 (1980)
I guess this movie is a blue print for so many similar movies and because of that loses some credibility but it's still a fun entertaining film to watch, it's got the same old story used a million times but there's a nice twist as it's not Jason the star of later movies who's the killer this time it's his Mom, Betsy Palmer said she only took the role because she was desperate for money to fix her car and she thought nobody would ever see it anyway so she took the part 🤭, special effects are also incredible considering the budget and its no surprise they are created by the excellent Tom Savini, I love watching this movie with someone who's never seen it before because of the build up to the jump scare were we finally see Jason everyone knows something is gonna happen and it still works every time
