I decided to set myself a challenge and watch a horror movie each night in October as a build up towards Halloween, some movies are well known and others not so well know
Night 1 - Halloween (1978)
I wanted to start with a classic so I chose the original Halloween directed by genre master John Carpenter as my first movie to watch, to share a few coincidences I was born in the month and year this was set in and Michael is also one of my names, I'm sure everyone has seen this by now so there's not really a lot more I can say but as with a lot of John Carpenter movies it's the atmosphere I enjoyed most especially the music and the way he hides tension like the times you can just about see Michael's face hiding in the darkness or see his silhouette outside or hear his heavy breathing behind his mask, one Halloween memory I always remember was at a fun fair when I was still really young and seeing a group of teenage boys walking around in Michael Myers masks and feeling a little intimated as they would just stop and stare at everyone, unbelievably it's 45 years old now and it's just a really fun movie to watch and get you into the Halloween spirit

Enjoy spooky season and feel free to share any of your own memories and stories of the movies I feature
Thanks for reading
