Here's how showday went.
I finished watching an episode of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia", much to Vanora's shagrin. 20 minutes later, we're past Alton and there is a huge multi-car wreck, where the vehicles went off an embankment. If I hadn't finished that episode, we could of been involved in that. Weird, but that was only the start of a really screwed up day.
When we got there I waited for my friend who was debuting tonight as a referee. He showed up with his windows down, blaring country music. When he got out of the car, we saw that he was dressed in a suit and tie. Pretty snazzy, eh? Well this was the first time I met him. We talked online and on the phone, but never met. He was name dropping the entire time which probably got on people's nerves, but he did very well as a referee, was polite, and helped tear down. I'm glad he came.
We changed in a camper that was parked in the back of the building. I know you're thinking "how classy", but it served its purpose.
The show went very well. I managed Xander Frost and Curtis Payne to victory and they won the FTW tag team titles, Curtis and I got revenge on Future, interfered in the heavyweight title match, and we lost the tag titles to Damian Blade and Xavier Frost. It was a very eventful show.
One of our wrestlers who has a big drug problem was at the show, but was a spectator, not a performer, choked a fan.
Afterwards, Sly "The Redneck Extremist" was told by management to put everyone who was just standing around to work. Well, the Future took offense to this and a fight broke out. It was broken up pretty quickly, but between that and the fan choking incident, we thought we were going to lose the venue. Turns out, the cops who ran the Elk's Lodge were very understanding, loved us, and want us back ASAP.
On another note, CharlesWS came to the show and I met him during intermission. He seems like a really cool guy, so Charles, if ya read this, thanks for coming out and best of luck with your book dude.
I should have pictures of the show up pretty soon for everybody who wants to see 'em.
I know this is a pretty long blog for me, so if you read this, thanks.
