It's been over two and a half years since I've been in a relationship. After a bad end to a long and rocky relationship, I took a year off from all dating. One year of wanting to be single and find out what I wanted from myself and from any perspective girlfriend. The second year and a half, however, I was involuntary single. No matter how hard I tried or even how desperate I got, I still couldn't find anyone who made me happy (or anyone that wanted to be with me). It seemed like I just couldn't win. Relationships and sex became a foreign concept to me. There was some crazy algebraic equation that I couldn't solve. And I have no business doing math anyway. X = Girlfriend. How do you solve for "X?"
My roommate and I threw a party and we told our friends to bring friends. We wanted a big shindig. One of my friend's brought her cute and single friend. We seemed to hit it off quite well and I got her number. Called her up, asked her out, had a couple of drinks and some really great conversation.
It's still really early but it feels good to hold someone, to kiss someone to think about someone again. Not to mention she's pretty amazing in bed.
Just wanted to share.
