i need a career.
not a new job. not a better paying job.
a career. i'm facing that point in my life where i have to decide between the possible and the dreams.
i have a talent for photo. i could just make a portfolio up and pitch myself as an undegreed photogenius.
i am great at sales, i could stick with it. eventually manage a segement of a chain.
i've always wanted to be a PI. i could become a cop and do a stint to merit a PI license.
i could save some and go to school for broadcasting, and work in radio.

sigh.

feed our fame.

You should just go to work for a PI firm. Send your resume to them. That is what I did. Though I had been in security before hand, I really had no other experience. I hated PI work though, unless I was undercover, or working criminal cases. I fucking HATED domestic cases. Unfortunately those are often the bread and butter. The other option is to do bail bonding, repo's, or anything else that requires skip tracing (to get your feet wet). Skip tracing is even done in collections, and can be used towards getting a permanent PI license. Though every state is different for what their requirements are. Arizona, you have to get a license through your company, and either open up on your own after you have enough hours, or surrender your license when you leave that company. In Colorado, they do not require a license at all. *shrug* You just have to find out.
