so help me out here.
am i in the wrong.
i'm used to living alone. i would get home from work, turn the tv on, and play video games until i went to bed, to wake and repeat the cycle.
now, i live with my lady.

granted, i love her. i love us. i love our place. i love our cat. everything is great.
i just feel bad when she comes home and i'm playing my video games, and she gets mad at me.

also of note, i really haven't played any video games in like a month.

for those of you unaware, i used to/kind of work(ed) at a video game store. so it is very important to me.
should i feel bad? i mean, i love her, she's the best.
then again. she went thru her own "i just want to sleep" period.

can't i have my "this game is AWESOME!" period?

I don't think you are wrong, but neither is she. You guys just need to find some kind of common ground. Maybe you play your game for X number of hours and then you eat dinner together or you play on "X" days and spend time with her on "Y" days. A couple I am friends with spends most nights with him playing video games on his computer and her watching TV right next to him. They're still together and talk but they both get to do their thing. If your game is on the TV, maybe she can read or knit or something? Another thing they do is the girl often sits with the strategy guide so she is an active part of him playing the game. Or perhaps something different altogether.

BTW, I just saw your entry about Dane Cook. I am so jealous! I couldn't get tickets when he was here. It was sold out before I knew about it!
