So another rental agreement fell through.
I called the guy who was supposed to show up Friday morning. (at about noon when they still werent here), and asked when he would be coming. And got the following response:
"Oh, yea, i couldnt get out of my other lease, so I wont be able to move."
Well yea, thats kinda the point of a lease is that you cant just take off. And if he had mentioned already having a lease somewhere else before that moment, would I have driven the 3 hrs back up here to meet up with him? I think not.
So again I am hunting for renters. The only option I have right now is a woman with 3 kids who is using rental assistance to pay her rent. She is only covered for $125 less than what i am asking. So I have to figure out if i can afford to be that much short each month. And then make sure there arent any more complications in this whole rental assistance plan to make it fall through the way all the other possibilities have.
Im considering just giving up and working toward selling it. But there is a lot of work left to do before i get to that. I have to still move all my things out of the basment. My 'cub appeal' is going to require some serious landscaping (ok, maybe just a bunch of weed pulling). And i need to redo the kitchen and bathroom flooring, and patch or replace some drywall. Possibly repaint some walls.
Now to do this i either need a lot more time, money, and skilled help, or a combination of those things. Right now im 0 for 3.
Anyone want to come fix up my house with me so i can sell it and finally be free of all this? As always I pay for favors in hugs and cupcakes
In other news the cute computer guy hasnt called yet. Its been a few days, but then it did take a few meetings and a couple You-look-nice-today's to get around to asking if i wanted to go out some time in the first place. Im thinking I might just call him on monday when i get back into town.

Did the guy ever call you back? What did he think of your message, and what happened? Have a good weekend.
