So because I worked so many hours over the Christmas period I was owed a few days of leave and decided to fly down to Tasmania to visit my grandparents. I haven't seen them in about 6 months so it was lovely to catch up. My Nan shares my love for tea and even woke me up each morning by bringing a fresh cuppa into my room. She's a sweetheart.
I've only been to Tasmania a few times but for those who have never been and want to know what it's like the only way I can describe it is, it's a miniature version of New Zealand with it's stunning views but it's also like a little retirement village haha.
Here is one awesome view!
I spent the first day going to a little museum type building which housed Platypus and Echidna's! So cute!! There was a little room where the Echidna's just waddle around your feet and you're allowed to sit on the floor. Was the best spent afternoon!
Just look at these guys!!
I've never been sight seeing in Tas but this time my grandparents drove me to Cradle Mountain. It's absolutely breathtaking! There's a lake that sits in the center and you can walk around it which takes nearly 2 hours but because I was with my grandparents we didn't attempt the walk. We did however walk a short way down to a little area on the waterfront with a small hut and on the way caught sight of a baby Echidna scurrying along the ground nawwww I just wanted to bring him home!
Cradle Mountain views <3 ...... Seriously if you're going to Tasmania you need to visit this place!!
I always enjoy the time spent with my grandparents (both sets having half raised me) and it makes me sad to know that I wont have anymore adventures with my other Pop who passed away at Christmas.
Cherish the ones you love and enjoy the time you have together!
For now i'm one tired little lady having spent the evening at the vets with my dog Buffy who has been limping :( Not to worry though because i'm assured it's only arthritis setting in (my poor baby)
