Hello my lovelies, thanks all for your nice birthday greetings. Here is the summary of my birthday celebration, which lasted all week :)
Monday: At night I went with my mom, my brother and sister and Teresita (she works in my mom's house) to a fancy restaurant for a nice dinner. We ate delicious food and drank fantastic cocktails all sponsored by my generous mom.
Tuesday. Official Birthday date: I woke up in the middle of the night with a long distance call from Mr. C. I miss him terribly and it was amazing to hear his voice, even if I was half asleep. A few hours later my mom and sister woke me up with Las Mañanitas, the traditional mexican birthday song. After that My sister and I went for breakfast with my dad at a very nice hotel near my house. My daddy gave a beautiful bouquet with 29 roses. (I turned 29) After that I worked and then had a fantastic "me day" with tasty home made food and a surprise home made pie made by Teresita. I love that woman, she is a little angel. At night my mom came with my favorite cake and we watched movies.
Wednesday: During the day I worked and had a normal wednesday, but at night my friends and I went to for dinner at an amazing 60's style dinner, we had a lot of delicious junk food and big glasses of long island tea.
Thursday: During the day I worked, as usual. At night I went to dutch class and we had a "special birthday class" where the teacher taught us greeting words and birthday songs. After that they all took me to dine sushi and they even payed my share. The teacher gave a box of weird chocolates made Belgium style but with typical mexican chocolate. They are veeeery good.
Friday: Oh sweet gods and spirits of the forest! My friends started arriving to my house at around 3:00 pm, and by 9:00 most of them were already here. One of them brought a bottle of absinthe and strong weed. They say I had a great time. At some point my best friend and I went to a night club and I remember I bought a drink for a girl who's birthday is tomorrow. I don't remember her name but well... happy birthday girl! After many shots and cosmos I ended up getting sick and we had to go back home. When I was praying to the toilet and regretting all my sins... EARTHQUAKE!!! My reaction was to take my dog and go to bed.
Saturday: I spent the day eating junk food and watching violent movies, best cure for hungovers known by mankind. It was awesome :)
Sunday: I woke up late, played with my dog and then my mom took my brother and me to a very good asian fusion restaurant. I ate my fill and then we went to the theatre to see my little cousin act in Aladdin. Her school produced it and sold tickets and food to pay for scholarships for girls who can't afford an education. I admire their efforts to help others, and the play was pretty good.
That is it, that's how I celebrated my birthday :)
