that is definately a tough conversation. but from experience, if he is in a mood over there, or someone has him all pissed off it's not like he can start arguing with people in his unit. unfortunately, the only person he can take it out on is you. which is still wrong, but sometimes unavoidable. hopefully in the next few days he will be in a better mood and apologize.

Thanks for the comments guys. I'm still a little pissed about the whole thing. I'm trying to be understanding and ignore it. But I do think I'll just leave him alone for a bit. When he wants to talk, he will email me or call. I can't let myself stew about it. I think he knows he's safe, so he gets irritated when I worry, but I just wish he would think about what it's like not knowing from day to day where he is, or what's happening.
One month down - 12 to go. Deployments still suck, but I'm feeling a little better.

Thank you for your well wishes. I'm in rough shape, but I think I've been partially numbed to all the pain and loss due to everything I've been going through the last several months. It hurts, but I have a slew of friends and family rallying around me. I'll get through it okay.

This new fucking deployment is killing me too my friend. I know it must be very hard right now for you and your family. I don't have any family members serving right now, and I guess I'm one of the fortunate ones.
Just know that everyone is praying for the safety of our men and women serving overseas. Hopefully this violence and war will end quickly and everyone comes home.

Hope your Holidays are going as well as can be expect. Yeah, we watched a ton of movies too, mainly the old classics.
Incidently, I practically lived at KCI airport flying from and to St. Louis, from 1978-1998. It got to the point where most places knew me by name - car rental, gates, hotels, restuarants, etc.

I got the job at the radio station! I'm so excited about it. I start on Monday the 22nd. I've wanted to work on campus for quite a while and at the radio station is even better.
My friend Matt told me that it is addictive. He said within three months I'll want to be on the air. We'll see about that. ha ha

The shoots are going very well. Just been so busy with the editing stuff. Almost done with this weekend's shoot images, but I'm also converting all of them to B/W, so that she gets a color and a B/W image. Took about 500 pics this weekend of her - my favorite model.
Had another shoot today with a friend of hers, but only took about 350. So I've got my hands full with so many pics and editing. What ever happened to taking 2-3 rolls of film? Remember those days, before digital? And right now I'm not charging either one of them, cause it's been too much fun, and it keep me out of trouble, so far!!!
Hope you're doing good. You've been on my mind lately and hope your new job is working out.

Well, I don't expect to go out looking for a job antime soon. I don't miss work for one minute - being retired has been heaven for my wife and me.
Just finsihed a photo shoot last night with a 43 year old mom and have one of her pics in my latest journal. She's such a cool lady and so talented with her poses. She's still nursing her 3 year old so her breasts look a little "tired", but other than that, she's a knockout!
