so YAY! i finally finished the trots for the book of poetry i'm translating. i needed to get them done before i left so i could work on the first draft which needs to be submitted to the publisher by the end of the summer - and for a few days there it looked like i wasn't going to get it done. but i did and now i can go out and buy all the things i need to finish packing, namely a new shoulder bag. i had a great one that i bought at the Army Barracks almost ten years ago, and it's been falling apart for a while. finally last week the shoulder strap broke, and i've had it pinned on since, but because it's such a wreck i decided it was time to replace it. sadly, they don't seem to carry that bag anymore so now i'm searching for a new good one. and now i realize that no one cares. and why should you? these are perhaps the most boring entries ever. i'll try to think of something more exciting for next time....

And what languages do you speak - that is severiously cool. (and hot)
as for marquez, i've only read chronicle of a death foretold, short but excellent and try as i might, i never get around to finishing 100 years of solitude. perhaps I need that many years to finish- something always interrupts me though. its at the top of my summer reading list now though, esp. since I just graduated.
