discovery of the day: throw a MINISKIRT over those comfy stretched out elastic-waist lounge pants (maybe toss a pair of legwarmers or armwarmers into the mix), and if you go out to a bar to hear your friends sing awesome gillian welsh covers including i wanna do right but not right now, people from your fashion-backward hometown who you've known since before highshcool might...

The way I see it either ye' old H.L. is, as I had previously queried, a snip-snail-and-puppydog-tailer, or, and this is reaching, his character is just so solidly afraid of falling for her again even his kisses are stand-offish. Of course that ain't a dramatic choice, and it's also kind of a-sexual.
As for me? Nothin' says lovin' like drinkin' mit moms and her construction co-workers, especially when, after one too many coffee nudges, she tries to wing-man it for me with the hot Biologist at the bar...and I wonder where I get it.
As for me and my axe? Splendiferous. I can now make pops songs at the drop of a hat. My R&B/Old Timey finger pluckin' is a little slower going. I'm a lefty in a righty world, but I wasn't tough enough to re-string like Jimmy, my fellow lefty Seattle-ite. I miss being in the same zip code with you. Maybe when I'm taking trains to Boston I'll throw you flowers from my car's window. miao!!

i am so ready to be a housewife this spring. yeah. a sexy housewife who paints her toenails with the phone wedged to her ear and goes barefoot in dresses while rolling up the sushi and sweat-soaks herself while feverishly typing the next book . . . (sigh) love

Oh, I wish that is what I had lined up for my spring. How'd you swing that?

sometimes nothing moves fast enough

it's all fun and games until someone gets bored . . . .

for a thrillseeker (like me), bored can be really dangerous

how do you safely stave off feelings of stagnancy and general pointlessness? or is it just me?

hey, one of the first times i had my luggage in tow to get on the train to NY for a 2 day shoot, i was thinking to myself. Damn it's great to be able to do this, It's not my day job, and i only get paid like 20% of the time, but how exciting anyway. now days with the internet and knowing your way arounf the industry anyoen can become a self made model.
Addictive, hell yes!

random memory (typed through the haze of a 9.2 migraine):

the closest i ever got to seeing guns n roses circa 1988-style was at this awesome club called THE STATION. it was a gn'r cover band called get your guns.

(now let me just say that the station is the same club where, later, a washed up great white's pyrotechnics, combined with the club's lack...

All that, and a philosophy lesson too.
You are kind. You did/did not think the
stones were dead men performing at the supper bowl?
I think they probably were,
and there was thos cover band of electric dylan
bringing it all back home era, with a great woman leader,
out of some small club in the Bronx which I believe
may well have given off the punch you felt the other night.

You remain a wonder to me. drago d

I only know one ani defranco song - but it rocks

she played at the University of Maine when I was a student there - and I was idiotic enough to miss her

plans!

friday night: double-date involving sushi at a restaurant where you sit on the floor (anyplace where there's sprawl potential, i'm there); this show of "inner city" kids doing hilarious improv dance and comedy; movie at the cheapo theater. then back home for a late night cd-burning lesson! hot.

saturday night: details are sketchy, but i'm seeing a kareoke mic in my hand and lyrics...

i think mary j. blige said it best. no more drama.

the diss of getting older is a slower metabolism. (you should have seen me put those pints of ben & jerry's away even as recently as a few years ago. and no i don't share. or didn't.)

but the good part is deciding not to be a part of it unless i feel like...

I am now very excited about this book and it will shoot straight to the top of my "to be read" pile. I will let you know my thoughts.

Well, thanks for your kind words. I have done a lot of self shots, primarily early in my years of studio work. Did it mainly for checking out lighting techniques and angles. Now it's more of an ego for me - you're right about aging! Can't stop it, so I'll just record it. Recently did another shoot for SB, but haven't finished the editing and resizing -- hopefully in a couple of days or so.
Checked out your pics and you have some beauty to offer this site. You have an amazing pair of lips!! Very pronounced and very Red!
Thanks again for your comments.
David
Btw - I wished you lived closer too!!!
