i've just been asked to be a sort of spokesperson/case-study for the clinic in vermont that has helped me so (w/ a chronic illness).
this means that i get lots of free testing, which would otherwise be out-of-pocket or simply out of my reach. it also means that i get to meet and consult with the famous swiss Dr. Thomas Rau, the founder of this certain type of biological medicine, who i've been dreaming about working wth for the past 1.5 years. trouble was, i was too sick to fly to switzerland, and i didn't exactly have the $20,000 to spare.
fuck yeah. it will happen in november. the woman who called referred to me as a "success story," which really put things in perspective for me. it's true - though i still bitch nonstop about my health (can't help it - been keeping journals all my life and what's at the forefront just comes out) i seriously couldn't get out of bed a year ago. and just look at me now.
(i get that this is a boring read, but ya can't please all the people all of the time
