It's flooding here in the Northeast. Nothing to rival the horror of New Orleans. There are, however, people in boats. In the streets.

I remember reading that before the tsunami hit, animals discreetly hightailed it to dry land. Gotta love the animal 6th sense. The one that humans' overdeveloped prefrontal cortex eclipses so completely, we all drown.

But I digress. The water table is high and ants have climbed to the second floor. To the safety of my living quarters. They are in my bathroom. They are drifting aimlessly all over my bedroom rug. It's awful. I hate chemicals, so I have all this herbal shit - cayenne, mint, crushed garlic, cinnamon - scattered around. If anyone knows of a more potent natural ant deterrent, by all means, lay it on me!
