So, I flew home to San Diego this weekend to surprise my mom for her birthday, and it was a great success!!! My older sister came over, and we all ended up at the marina for a community fair event. I haven't been to the marina in 12 years. Last time I was there, I was filming for a skate video. It was a gorgeous day, and it was nice to spend it with my family. It seems that the older I get, the closer we become. Either they are becoming more accepting of my lifestyle, or I am becoming less controversial. Either which way, I am not mad.

After we left the marina, I decided to give mom the night off, and make dinner for the family. On the menu, Beer Butt Chicken with New Castle Brown Ale, BBQ'd Corn on the Cob, Lemon Pepper & Siracha Asparagus, and my amazing Garlic Mashed Potatoes...basically, I am a boss in the kitchen:

I am loving my trip home. I miss it here, and can not wait to move back.
