I was going through stuff at my dad's house about a week ago, looking for hazardous chemicals to take to a drop-off. I ran across some ant poison, and being curious, I looked to see what the active ingredient was. It was arsenic trioxide. That's the same chemical that my dad was taking as a chemotherapy agent! This seems to tell me that the way we treat cancer is still rather crude and it's about hoping you kill more of the cancer than the patient.
stitchy:
yup. it's all beyond comprehension if you ask me.

Gosh, yuck. My mom works in the OR at our hospital but they have a cancer treatment center and it can get pretty bad. ♥
