I got a call from the Library computer telling me I had some books overdue. Their computer uses a voice synthesizer - a pretty common brand we've all heard before. I was listening to this mechanical voice drone on about my late titles and all I could think was "Doesn't Stephen Hawking have a day job? I mean, moonlighting for the library shaking people down for fines seems a little beneath him."
