I agree those moments are very hard to get your point across with. I remember when my aunt was dying from Pancreatic cancer. I sent her a card that it took me a good long time to write. The card actaully arrived when my mom was visiting and she said it was very well recieved.

It is so hard to express the right feelings at those times especially to someone who is grieving. Having been in those situations it is onlyl the very special attempts at conveying feeling that will be remembered. At least for me personally, other than that it is wave after wave of "I'm sorries."
