I have been a materialistic bitch for far too long. Nothing in this world matters unless you have people in it to spend the good times with and love through the bad...I'm slowly learning that the only things that matter are the relationships you build and the fun you have, not the things you buy pretending to believe it will better said relationship. If this all sounds like a stupid rant, it's not...I just realize now that I have been blinded by the things I don't have for years, and now all I can do is be greatful for the what I still have and not give a fuck about what I don't need! It feels amazing to grasp that concept fully and finally. Everything is nothing if you don't have the fun to back it up...

I have badass friends, and a man I'm crazy in love with...that is what matters.
xoxoKitson
Edit: Not that man^^^, but he's pretty kick-ass, too

And your blog is dead on. I really do pity those who think they can fill a void with items that can always be replaced. And, sure, it works for awhile. Hell, what a lot of people don't realize, or worse, maybe they do, is that shopping for and achieving items of a material nature releases hormones in our bodies that make us happy, euphoric even. However, like a drug, there is always that coming down phase, a crash, if you will.
Having someone there is more like having that constant high, that no amount of shopping, and no drug can ever match. I'm glad that you've come out and seen this truth.
Feels good, don't it?
