Dark and lovely, sweet and smokey, October is my favorite!
The mini-shootfest in Portland with @toxic @hemi_ @sobelle was truly a badass experience. Hemi invited me to stay at her beautiful home and I am so grateful, and Toxic and SoBelle really made the shoot location and experience phenomenal. I am so damn grateful that I got to go.
SoBelle is, today, submitting the set that she shot of me that weekend. It has a completely different feel to it, and I am dumbly in love with each photo.
The week after I returned home from the shootfest, something happened:
I mean holy shit these things hurt, and why didn't I have them last weekend?!
Yep, these suckers hurt but I can NOT stop taking pictures of them and posting them to Instagram.
I finished up with school for now to get a second job (also in Nursing) so that I can pay off some debt and get ahead of things. Which has been difficult so far, because both facilities have completely, I mean COMPLETELY different ways of caring for patients. But there is something that feels SO delicious about paying more than what you owe minimum on bills. And I feel great about myself-- "Success is the greatest revenge."
I do not have plans for Halloween as of yet, except to attend/observe my girl friend's Samhain ritual and get toasted on red wine and sing witchy folk songs around a camp fire. Speaking of which, MY FELLOW NERDS: did anyone else read that article with an excerpt from Neil DeGrasse Tyson about the frequencies that disrupt the human eye function that can cause people to believe they are seeing ghosts?! Am I the only one totally fascinated by this sort of thing? In case you were interested, the frequency is 18 hz (the lowest vibrations that the human ear can detect is 20 hz).
At any rate, I promise to let you know IMMEDIATELY when my set will be shown on the site.
