Tomorrow I go on another adventure into the wilderness that is Londonia. I will see Andrew Bird doing a solo support slot for the amazingly talented and heart wrenchingly honest Joan As Police Woman.
Today I drank coffee with my homosexual ex boyfriend and realised that he is going to finally become a friend. We can be honest with each other, which I am finding is a rare gift between some people on this planet.
So many of us (myself included) are intent on hiding parts of ourselves to confuse, annoy, impress or suppress. I have found that those I have been truly honest with in recent times have become like rocks to my often squidgy uncertainty, showing me a strength I admire and want to steal for myself. And I'm stealing it.
We experience friendship as it really should be. Non judgmental, forgetting the perils of yesterday for the promise of tomorrow.
I will always be insane (in the most adorable of ways) but it's being OK with it that counts.
