FUCK BUSH he is such a prejudice ASSHOLE... how can you say that you are going to make gay marriages against the constitution... seperation of church and state right... give me one other argument as to why two men or two women should not be married if it is not a religious one... "preserving the sanctity of marriage" ha... i can't even believe him... what is wrong with loving another person so much that you want to share the rest of your life with them... nothing... so why not allow those people to receice benifits from their love... joint taxes... medical coverage... etc. there is nothing more wonderful than two people wanting to be together forever... so many marriages end in divorce it is obvious that people don't take marriage seriously anyway... love thy neighbor unless they are the same sex as you... this is bullshit... let me argue the most common religious arguement... Leviticus 18:22 : though shall not lie with a man as one lies with a woman that is detestable... Leviticus also says do not sleep with a woman on her period 18:19... meat must be eaten on the day it is killed or the next day and must be burned on the third day 19:6...do not cut the grains at the edge of your fields during harvesting and do not go back to cut the heads of the grains that were left after their first harvest 19:9... do not do not pick grapes that were missed or pick up those taht have fallen in your vineyard 19:10,do not plant two kinds of seed in the same field 19:19... do not wear cloths made from two kinds of materials 19:19...do not eat meat with blood still in it , all blood should be poured on an alter 17:10... etc. etc. etc... as you can see the only religious arguement i have heard is the leviticus one... it is quite stupid to hold a group of people to one rule in a book of the bible when the other rules and laws in that book are not followed at all anymore... leviticus is an out dated book that no one seems to follow or teach until they need an arguement against gays... i am so angry with people about the gay marriage thing as well. it drives me up the wall and up shit creek about how people think that they have the right to tell other people what they can or cannot feel for one another.
yeah, straight people have a 50% divorce rate, what, are they afraid that gays will do better?
personally, i hope it does become legal, and i hope that the gay divorce rate is at 2% just to prove a point.
